She lay in bed, lost in thought
Her heart broken, her walls torn down.
Her mind wandering back to a happier time.
To when she met her, knew it was worth it all.
A time where she wore her heart on her sleeve.
A time where she could laugh with ease.
Her mind wandering back to a happier time.
Reluctant and guarded, words she’d never felt.
Until the day where things just turned so sour.
Where she realized how painful betrayal and heartbreak was.
Until the day her world turned upside down.
Where she truly lost everything she held dear to her.
This was a time, where tears couldn’t be stopped.
A time, where walls couldn’t be drawn back up.
